Leopard Incompatibility In dotNotes 1.2

When running dotNotes 1.2 on MacOS X 10.5 Leopard, custom color selector in Controller becomes disabled and only preset colors are available. I'm working on this and it'll be fixed in the next release. Sorry for the inconvenience, but kindly wait.

Leopard Compatibility Latest Report

Finally, I got my time to install Leopard on my machines during last weekend. Here's the compatibility report tested so far:

  • dotNotes 1.2
Runs all right on both PPC and Intel.
  • ZNS 1.0.1
Runs terribly slow as if stalled. I don't recommend using ZNS on Leopard until I make some fixes.

Leopard Compatibility and Port B Tour Performance

Although I already received my copy of new Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, I'm currently tied up with the production of the upcoming performance of Port B troupe and have no time to install it and test the compatibility of my softwares with the new Mac OS.

I recommend not to run my programs util the test is done. However, if you go ahead and experience problems on the new Mac OS, please let me know. And I'll try to check and fix it as soon as possible.

Meantime, as mentioned above, Port B's next performance Tokyo/Olympic will be played from mid November to mid December. The official Japanese title of the performance is: 東京/オリンピック Port Bによる「はとバス」東京観光ツアー. If you happen to be in Tokyo, Japan during this period, it'll be a lot of fun to join the unique bus tour of Tokyo performed by Port B. However, the tour will be guided in Japanese only, no foreign language interpretation service available.

ZNS Fixed

Just released the new version 1.0.1 of ZNS. This is a maintenance update and available for download from the Sharewares page.

This release includes a fixture of really irritating bug that some applications such as Adobe Photoshop, were unable to overwrite original file opened via ZNS when saving. I recommend all users to update to 1.0.1.

Enjoy dotNotes 1.1.1

As some of you might have already noticed, UB version of dotNotes was released yesterday. This new version includes a small bug fix which caused selected memo window to resign key window status when the Color Panel is opened via Font Panel. And also a small GUI improvement that memo windows now accept first mouse click, that is, when you select a memo it's ready for editing on the spot instead of clicking text field one more time.

Enjoy!

One more thing, Soramimi Works' new software ZNS will be ready by the end of this month. It's a kind of application-oriented file browser and launcher. It'll be released as a shareware. I hope you understand I need your help to keep coding.

Ballads

I remember a scene once I saw in a cartoon that a hero, at the end of a hard day, muttered to himself "Coltrane's Ballads, it surely heals my worn-out body".

I totally agree with this idea. If you don't believe, you should give it a try anyway. Turn down the lights, have a glass of beer or whatever you'd like, then play the CD (or vinyl would work better). Ah, a moment of A Love Surpreme !
